With no one left to turn to, Dave joins forces with Justice Forever, run by a born-again ex-mobster named Colonel Stars and Stripes. Justthey start to make a real difference on the streets, the world's first super villain, The Mother F%&*^r, assembles his own evil league and puts a plan in motion to make Kick-Ass and Hit Girl pay for what they did to his dad. But there's only one problem with his scheme: If you mess with one member of Justice Forever, you mess with them all.
This is my first ever movie review review and I do not plan on going into a lot of detailI want people to go see the movie and judge for themselves, The following is my opinion. <br/><br/>As a fan of the first film and a collector of the comic book series I was incredibly happy with this movie. I was extremely excitedI took my seat in the movie theater and I was not in the slightest bit disappointed when the film concluded. The acting was brilliant, the script was funny and had emotion. When you sit down to watch ether Kick-Ass one or two you know you are watching a special movie that was made out of love for the comics/story rather than a studio looking for another quick cash in. Kick-Ass two is a comedy with a lot of heart and in my opinion it was my favorite movie of the year. Thanks for reading.
Dave Lizewski is bored of his lifestyle. Even his girlfriend Katie fails to create any sparks for him. Dave requests help from Mindy (Hit-Girl) to make him a more effective superhero. Dave goes through rigorous training treatments to improve his skills. When Mindy is caught by her guardian, Det. Marcus Williams, he prohibits her from fighting crime, and seeing Dave. To make matters worse for Dave, Kaite dumps him. Dave joins a group of masked crusaders that were recruited by Col.Stars and Stripes, managing to reinvigorate Dave's life. Meanwhile, Chris D'Amico is still pining for revenge on Kick-Ass for killing his father. He creates an evil alter-ego "The Motherf####@@@" , acquires some deadly people to stop Kick-Ass. <br/><br/>I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this sequel to a certain extent. It has plenty of action and a cast with plenty of energy to make this an entertaining time waster. But it should have been so much more. The first movie was a one of a kind movie that felt completely genuine and real. It was a look at how corrupt society is these days. This one lacks that riveting emotional element that made the first movie so memorable. The set-up here feels phony like many sequels tend to be. Despite the incorporation of new characters, they felt pointless to me. The idea of normal people being inspired by Dave's heroics was good, but the characters aren't interesting enough. Also, I hated some of the things that went down in this sequel. Lyndsey Fonseca is barely in this film. The way she broke up with Dave was downright moronic. It negated all the character changes she made in the first film, and I didn't buy it for a minute. It was a stupid decision. Unlike many people, the explicit violence didn't bother me. I did think they were being violent for the sake of sometimes. The violence in the original was very stylized and effective, but it felt forced here. It also resorts to puking and pooping gags at times, which made me shake my head. Those don't belong in a Kick-Ass film. Christopher Mintz's D'Amico character goes through some ludicrous changes. I liked the idea of him turning into a sadistic person without a conscience, but his "Motherfu@@@@@@@" character gets old fast. There are so many "Motherf@@@" references you can say before it gets tiring. It wore thin quickly. The finale is complete anarchy and wildly entertaining. It was the most exciting part of the movie. The cast is terrific. Aaron Taylor-Johnson ownsDave/Kick-Ass once again, but the part doesn't feelspecial. Chloe Moretz steals the show again. She has a lot more to play with this time around. I did think the "maturity" phase she went though in this movie was a bit silly, but she made it work. Her chemistry with Taylor-Johnson is awesomewell. Jim Carrey ostensibly hated this movie because of the extreme violence. Nevertheless, he was fun in his part, throwing in a couple of great one- liners. Mintz-Plasse is OK in this one. He was fun in the first movie, but his part felt like a more crazier version of McLovin, from Superbad. Lindy Booth is cute, but blandDave's new love interest. Faison, Brown, Chestnut, Leguizamo, all do well in their parts. <br/><br/>Overall<br/><br/>I didn't hate this movie at all, was just extremely disappointed in the sloppy execution. Bigger doesn't necessarily mean better, that's what so many people forget to realize. It's definitely worth a watch, but don't expect a classic like the first Kick-Ass. I'd still gladly watch a third installment<br/><br/>6.7

It takes place in New York, like in the first film, but is filmed in Toronto, Canada. When Colonel Stars and Stripes is beheaded in the comic, his head is replaced by his dog's. The Motherfucker gets eaten by a shark but lives, but in the comic he falls off a building instead (and also lives). In the movie Mindy (Hit Girl) runs away from town, instead of getting arrested like in the comic. Motherfucker doesn't kill his mom in the comic, and, instead of attempting to rape Night Bitch then beating her up, the Motherfucker actually rapes Katie and puts her into a coma. Also in the comics, the Motherfucker kills neighbourhood children and cops, but in the movie he only kills the cops. In April 2012, while Kick-Ass 2 was still in pre-production Mark Millar stated that a third film was also planned. In June 2013, however, he revealed that it was not confirmed and would be dependent on how successful the second film was. Later the same month he further elaborated that if it went ahead, the third film would be the final installment: "Kick-Ass 3 is going to be the last one… I told Universal this and they asked me, What does that mean? I said, It means that this is where it all ends. They said, Do they all die at the end? I said, Maybe because this is a realistic superhero story… if someone doesn't have a bullet proof vest like Superman, and doesn't have Batmans millions, then eventually he is going to turn around the wrong corner and get his head kicked in or get shot in the face. So Kick-Ass needs to reflect that. There has to be something dramatic at the end; he cannot do this for the rest of his life."<br/><br/>Moretz has shown interest in returning for a third installment and would also be interested in exploring Hit-Girl's dark side: "I want to see something we haven't seen yet. Now we've seen who Mindy is, now we've seen who Hit-Girl is, I think we need to meld the characters together and have Mindy become Hit-Girl and Hit-Girl become Mindy. Maybe her natural hair has a streak of purple in it, maybe she really does go kind of crazy and go a bit darker since she lost her father." She also added, "I would only do the third one if it was logical. It needs to be a good script and a director, probably Matthew (Vaughn). The third film needs to fully wrap up the series and has to be a good note to end on."<br/><br/>On 30 August 2013, Millar stated that the film is "in the pipeline". In May 2014, while at a press junket for Godzilla, Taylor-Johnson stated he is still up for a third film but he is not contracted for it and there are no plans for one currently. In the same month, Christopher Mintz-Plasse revealed he had not heard anything but expressed doubt that a third film would happen due to the second installment's disappointing box office performance.<br/><br/>In June 2014, Chloë Grace Moretz echoed her co-stars' sentiments when asked about Kick-Ass 3, stating that "I hope, I wish. That'd be fun. That'd be great. I doubt it but I would love it". She also cited the second film's lower box office grossthe key obstacle to the third chapter being produced and suggested file sharing was a factor: "The hard thing is if fans want a third movie, theyve got to go buy the ticket to go see the movie. It was like the second most pirated movie of the year, so if you want a movie to be made into a second, a third, a fourth and a fifth, go buy a ticket. Don't pirate it." In August 2014, Moretz reiterated her previous statements and said "sadly, I think I'm done with [Hit-Girl]". In February 2015, Matthew Vaughn who directed the first film, spoke optimistically about a "Hit-Girl" prequel. He stated "If that happens, Im pretty sure I can persuade Aaron and Chloe to come back and finish the story of Kick-Ass." On 17 June 2015, Vaughn stated in an answer to Yahoo that he is working on a prequel on how Hit-Girl and Big Daddy became superheroes and plans to make Kick-Ass 3 after.
